So You Want To Know More...
Okay, I guess I'll tell you a little about the ideas behind this website. But before I can do that, you're gonna have to get to know me.
First off, that's me below - along with my beautiful niece Julia. (She makes me look so good I just had to put this pic up! LOL!)
The full name is Arthur Gueli (pronounced Gwe-lee) but my friends call me Art. (That means you!)
I absolutely love the concepts of personal growth and self-improvement. I've been fascinated with this stuff for as long as I can remember. I even got my degree in Psychology (Penn State - Go Lions!) because I loved learning about the human mind and what makes some people great, others mediocre, and some downright pathetic.
I work as a Crisis Counselor during the day.
In a nutshell, I help people get through really tough times in their lives...people who have attempted suicide, or who are suffering from a severe or chronic mental illness, or are recovering from unthinkable abuse or a drug addiction - you know, people who have really tough problems and who have lived really hard lives.
(Please, do yourself a favor and take a few minutes right now to count your blessings - trust me and do it... Go on... Finished? Good.)
You know, there's just no feeling like counseling someone who's been totally beat down, helping them come around 180 degrees and watching as they begin to see how glorious life can be. It's an incredible high!
And you know, sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you can climb to the highest peak. I see it happen to good people all the time.
In my off time I pursue several internet endeavors, including SuccessMethods.org and the newly created Injury-Settlement-Guide.com.
A short list of my other interests includes...
*Martial Arts (I received my black belt in Shotokan Karate in 1996 under Shihan Tokey Hill, was on the Judo team at Penn State, and have studied many other arts including Jiu-Jitsu, Sambo, Shootwrestling, Thai Boxing, Jeet Kune Do, and, at present - Western Boxing.)
*Guitar (I've been playing about 12 years now and absolutely love all the great guitar bluesmen... Stevie Ray, Clapton, Al King, B.B. King, Luther Allison, Jimi Hendrix to name a few ... even the new guys like Jonny Lang and Kenny Wayne Shepherd - they all rock!)
*Psychology, Self-Development, and Accelerated Learning (Of Course!)
*Meditation (Especially Qi-Gong and Holosync. If you haven't heard of Holosync and the Centerpointe Research Institute you need to check it out. I've been using their technology for years and can honestly say it's the real deal.)
*Downhill Skiing (Since I was 4 years old. And I guess it's the only thing I like about winter - which must explain why I now live in sunny Florida!)
*Outdoors Activities (Including tennis, golf, hiking and camping, running, swimming, fishing, and, if you really want to count it, horseshoes - hey, if it's on ESPN it's fair game! ;-)
I tell you this stuff so you'll know a little about me and where I'm coming from. Everything on this site is something I'm interested in and have received some benefit from. Hopefully you will find some benefit as well.
I'm glad you've taken an interest in improving yourself. Most people go through life accepting their conditions - never willing to change. If you truly want to grow the information on this site can help you.
I believe we all have the ability to rise above our present conditions and achieve our truest desires and aspirations. All it requires is a simple understanding of what makes successful people tick, and then learning to apply that understanding to your life.
But this is where most people get stuck - actually applying what they learn. Promise me you'll actually use what you learn on this site. You must take action to see any measurable results.
This is the biggest problem I see with people who take an interest in improving themselves. They get excited about making changes and putting these success strategies to work in their lives.
But when the excitement fades and they realize that it actually takes work, their resolve starts to weaken.
Programs like ThinkRightNow! will drastically improve your ability to self-motivate. But in the end the responsibility for your success or failure rests entirely on your shoulders.
Now it's all up to you...
To your continuing success,
Art
Arthur Gueli
